Photography has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. As a child, I was fascinated with my grandpa’s camera – the kind that had the flash bulb that had to be changed with every few shots – and his Polaroid camera (remember those?!) that allowed us to instantly see the results. In grade school, technology brought me my own very first camera: a Kodak Instamatic that made the world my studio. Later still came the single lens reflex with interchangeable lenses and a hobby became a passion.
My first real adventures in photography began with photographing a sport I enjoyed: rodeos. It was thrilling to freeze the moment in time of sweat, spit, and dirt flying as man and beast attempted to conquer each other. From there, I began exploring other aspects of photography, such as breathtaking landscapes and the beauty of nature. Later, finding myself taking photographs of friends and family, I was drawn to the personalities of everyone who became the subjects of my lens, learning and adapting to the uniqueness of each person and the best way to truly capture their essence. This led me to start my company, Shiny Picture Photography, where I strive to provide every client with the very best services and memories that will last a lifetime.
